Program Benefits and Fellowships

In alignment with the UC Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (SIEML) goal of increasing diversity in the UC graduate business programs, students who successfully complete the program are eligible to receive a number of benefits to facilitate the pursuit of their long-term career and educational interests.

Full-fee and Tuition Fellowships

  • Full-fee and tuition fellowship for SIEML alumni admitted into any of the UC full-time graduate business programs for the intended duration of the program (e.g. 1 year/2 years depending on the program). This includes full-time MBA, specialty masters, and Ph.D. programs.
  • One-year full-fee and tuition fellowship for SIEML alumni admitted into any part-time or flex graduate business programs including but not limited to self-supporting degree programs, executive, and master’s-level specialty programs.
  • The fellowship will cover all fees and tuition, including nonresident tuition and professional degree fees.
  • SIEML alumni are eligible for these fellowships if they apply for admission to a UC graduate business program within seven years of completing SIEML.

UC Graduate Business School Application fee waiver

When SIEML alumni are ready to apply to UC graduate business programs, they will not have to worry about the additional cost of application fees, which can quickly add up, especially if you apply to more than one program. Alumni will receive an application fee waiver for each UC graduate business school where they submit an application.

Certificate of Completion

Upon completion, students are issued a certificate of completion as an emerging leader and manager that can be cited on their resume as a marketable experience.
